The CRG is pleased to have David Leaman-Miller working for us through our Fellows Program.  David graduated from Goshen College in 2017 with a degree in Film Production and a minor in Sustainability Studies. After finishing his studies with semesters abroad and at Merry Lea and a Film internship in L.A., David was excited to plug back into the Goshen community and lend his unique talents to the work of the Guild.

Phil Metzler of the CRG first met David a Freshman when they traveled together to People’s Climate March in New York City. It wasn’t hard to imagine how his video skills and creativity could enhance the work and visibility of the CRG and serve our community partners.  The videos below highlight some of the various ways he has already been productive.

Before joining the Guild, David spent the summer interning with Daragh Deegan and the Elkhart City Aquatic Biology program, producing these great videos focused on our local watershed.

David has already learned a lot about database management and web development, new skills he has put to good use leading the development of the Goshen Guide and rebooting the Goshen Funded platform.  He’s also well on his way to accomplishing one of our main goals for the program, connecting vocation to livelihood — David just founded Lost Creek Media alongside Elizabeth Derstine, so he’ll continue helping tell Goshen’s stories.

David has contributed in various ways to each of the projects below:
